Dear reader,

I may not be what you wish me to be

I may not have the best work,

But I gave it my all

What for?

Because of you

We might not know each other

But that’s what makes it unique,

Because we have something in common.

You are reading this for a reason.

That reason is the love of writing and reading.

You understand the time spent writing,

Where I could be doing something differently.

But here I am writing my voice

Wanting to impact a life

Why?

Because of you

You are my motivation of not giving up

Whether it is a positive or negative comment.

You took your time to read this simple poem.

Why you?

Why am I writing my letter to you rather than friends, teachers, myself, and family?

The answer is simple.

Because of you

I would expand my voice,

I would be heard,

I would be able to spread myself like a flower,

And because you are all of them.

You are reading this.

And I might not know you, or I do

But I won’t know.

And all I want to say is thank you,

Because If it weren’t for you,

I wouldn’t realise the passion that I have for writing.

The passion on expressing my emotions and opinions,

But most of all discovering who I am.

Thank you, Thank you

To the person who might have a blue shirt, or wearing a dress.

To the other person who might be eating or walking.

To the people who stay up to just read this or woke up early only to read this.

Because at the end it's not just me who is typing,

But all of you with your own voices coming all together in one masterpiece.
