Dear Sanity

Dear sanity

I would love to know, that everything is alright

I’ve been in this so long, I forgot how to fight

Every broken piece of me lying on the floor

I no longer know how to love anymore

The people around me, all think that I’m crazy

But all I think, is that someday they’ll leave me

I try everyday to say things are going to be fine

But I remember every night that those are just lies

These broken down pieces of who I once was

This sweet little girl simply looking for love

Please sanity, if you can hear me I just want to say

I’m holding onto you, they won’t take you away
