Dear Scars

Dear Scars,

I want to apologize

For not seeing the beauty in you earlier

For being ashamed to show proudly how well you adorned my skin

Some have faded away, never seeing my pride in them

Now I'm here

Showing you off proudly and telling your stories with great enthusiasm

You have helped make me who I am today

And I will always be greatful to you

So here's my apology for not seeing it before

How beautiful you are and characters you make
