Dear Self

I am the anonymous piece of graffiti

The picture of the dancing girl without a face

The point of her foot preparing to fall, without ground to land on

The arch in her back beautifully painted on an illegal canvas

I am a blend of cultures

A whirlwind of countries trying to find just one

An unfit member to all societies

More connected to a black sheep than a human

I am the peaceful protest, with an aggressive thirst for justice

The unique contrast of two sides trying to live in steady harmony

The question why? on repeat waiting for honest answers

The quiet hum of a beloved song somehow louder than police sirens

I am a shell of strength

A dire need to push to the end

An unforeseeable future begging for success

More powerful in her mind than her words that make it to the paper

I am that rollercoaster ride

I am
