Dear, Self

Dear, Self

I am proud of the person you've become.

Living it up, living happy,

living as yourself, one on one.

You started as a seed,

and managed to succeed.

You always took advantage of every possibility.

Now, I am proud to look in the mirror.

As of today, I still smile.

You've been through so much

and still traveled every mile.

It wasn't always a simple trot.

Some days, I fell and lay.

Some days, I crawled to my destined spot.

Through it all, I say I am proud.

Not because of the sunny days,

but because I made it through the rain clouds.
