Dear Sky

Dear Sky,

they say that only you are my limit

but never gave me the ladder

or rocket shoes to reach it.

Dear Star,

Why must you be so far?

They say I gotta reach you to get

my dream but it’s so hard

Dear cloud,

So many times you’ve blocked my view

trying to see a greater future but

my sight just can’t break through

Dear horizon

And your everchanging rays,

I watch your kaleidoscope of color

With the transitioning of days

Dear day,

You never really stay too long

Even when I’m feeling luckiest

I simply blink and you are gone.

Dear opportunity,

you seem to never be the one

sometimes I have a second thought

and now my one’s become none

Dear Dee,

You have dreams to dream

take a break, don’t stress,

life is less than it seems

Dear me,

You have an imagination to imagine

Let it come alive and take its course

It’s time to live your passion.
