Dear Sleep
Dear Sleep,
What you and I had was magic.
Now all we have left is defined as tragic.
I had dreams that fulfilled all my desires.
Now, I wake up even more tired.
The circles under my eyes run the deepest of blues.
And I stumble across my days without a clue.
You chose to leave me, so I was left to befriend insomnia.
Now I sit on my pillows and blankets eating lasagna.
