Dear Smiles

Dear smiles,

When I was young, you were constantly with me.

I radiated joy, so I was free.

I always was the child with smiles

Never brought down by life’s trials.

As time aged me I grew weary of all,

My inner turmoil bringing me downfall.

You became a constant facade,

An act worthy of applaud.

Now I am true to what I always feel,

My face demonstrating the real deal of

Me.

Faithfully yours,

Katherine
