Dear Snow Globes

Dear Snow Globes,

You make a funny collection

All thirteen of you,

For the most part

You're perfection

Eight of you make sense

You're from places I've been

And you-odd Christmas one-

You can stay too

Boston, Chicago, New York, Paris

Remember to stay in line.

Don't want you to fall

Off the

Shelf

You're from places I've never been-

Places I'll go when I'm in charge of myself.

That day is coming-

Just you wait.

I won't leave you

To a dusty fate.

I'll go those places eventually-

Just give me a little time.

This thing called life

Well,

It's an uphill climb.

From: the child in bed
