Dear Society

Dear Society,
I have a message for you:
My culture makes me unique, perfect, sweet
Bouncing back no matter how hard the hit
Our past is pain proving a dangerous feat
But our future is bright through hope and wit
Chains unbroken lives begin, Our power comes from within
Truth inspires music that tells a tragic story
The future is bright with diplomas shinin’
Children aspire to be a living legacy
But we are more likely to be on police reports when we killed
The systems messed up
Ghetto kids will never know how that, Justice seat feel
They say I got got accepted not by my, grades but luck
You think you know my story because you listen to trap
But you'll never really know what it's like to be black
Sincerely,
Woke
