Dear Society (Humanity)
Dear society,
I'd like to say I have good intentions in this letter
But you know what this is about
I used to call you humanity when you knew better
But you're not even humane enough to hear me out
Stereotypes! Profiling!
I'm in a box
And all because of you...I can't get out
So far in a racial rabbit hole
No one can hear me shout
If only I had blonde hair and blue eyes
Wait society...
How can you not realize
This is the mentality that slavery led to
I don't want to live
What my ancestors bled through
They bared the pain
Cried to God's name
That for their children
Things wouldn't be the same
Come on society
Are you insane?
Deranged?
Is there something wrong with your brain?
Why am I player number one
In your sick game
You've made it quite plain
That my peoples' only claim to fame
Is sports, rap, and and cuddling up with Mary Jane
YOU'RE THE ONE TO BLAME
You've been telling me lies
Like a false prophet
I can't look you in the eyes
Otherwise i'd vomit
Sorry, not sorry that I hit you with such a hot topic
This is extremely urgent as if it were a storm in the tropics
My life is a downpour of hail
I'm used to the inclement weather
I just hope you can meditate on this
Maybe get your act together
It may be too late for my generation
But i beg of you
Let this world come together
Sincerely,
Kevin
