dear someone
dear someone
dear to me please
tell me
what is it like on the other side
of the world
restless feet traveling
the well worn path of regret.
dear someone
why is it that
once you go forward
you always look back towards
a sea of faces staring daggers
at the one that got away
gray eyes glowering
flashing back.
dear someone one
day i will meet
you in all your glory
a boy that has never danced with angels
nor sung with the devil
just wandering wandering in dreamland
but not coming back to me.
dear someone
i never did tell you
how each day in
elementary school
i tried to
work up the nerve to talk to you
while you
talked to other girls
prettier
funnier
cooler
than me.
or how i tried to forget you after middle school halfway around the world.
or how the sight
of her clinging to you
makes me want to throw up.
dear someone
like you
likes you
named me.
