Dear Summer, Why, oh

Thu, 01/25/2018 - 11:23 -- poet202

Dear Summer,

Why, oh why have you gone so far?

With your luscious-filled trees of green?

Why have you ridden on top of stars,

And become something that is unseen?

Oh summer, oh summer, we miss you so,

With the sun shining bright in the sky.

We miss the way you make us laugh,

Even when the eve is nigh.

Please, come back, don’t make us wait.

For winter is mad, and lush green trees does he hate.

We promise to enjoy every day that your here,

We’ll go swimming and have parties, every day, every year.

Why, oh why have you gone so far?

We didn’t mean to make you leave.

We sorry to complain, but that’s just how we are.

So come back now, won’t you please?

Your biggest fan,

Cheyenne Nape
