Dear Summer Break
Dear Summer Break,
Summer days
spent between the trees,
rocking side to side,
slowly in the breeze.
Bright blue sky
without a cloud in sight.
The smell of fresh air,
sweet and light.
Resting on the knotted rope
wrapped like a cocoon,
Holding a cool glass of lemonade,
on a wonderful afternoon.
Eyes closed,
skin soaking sun,
wishing everyday,
to be like this one.
Wishing you were here,
Nicole
