Dear Summer Time

Dear summer, I know you might not appreciate me
Especially since things turned crazy since they chased me out of skate key
But thats another story for another time talking about this life of mine
While you think of warm beaches hot girls and cool wine in the summer time
Im thinking of black on black crime knicks and dimes screams of this block is mine as the temperture climbs
Having to walk 6 deep guess you can blame it on the heat
Plus the ac broke on me so I can barely sleep
But this happens to be reality no animation
Since my mom got the play station we couldnt afford a vacation
So im sitting on the stoop not a thing to do
But hang out with my crew and talk about things we wish we could do
Crazy parties jetskees summer jam celebrities palm trees
Dear summer
i hope u dont forget me and if we work out good 1 year i hope u dont regret me
And i could appreciate u as long as u Apppreciate me
Sincerely, me todd mcdaniels the august 5th summer baby

The season of Summer brings different memories and ideas to the mind of people. This poem describes my urban prospective of this hideous but beautiful season and what it means to me.
