Dear Sunshine,

Regardless of how bleak my dreams may be,
or how far the clouds stretch through the sky
Your golden rays are there to greet me,
and bring a sparkle to my eye

When I begin to feel scared,
I tilt my head towards you
and remember all of the promises I dared
as long as you do not say “adieu”

You are in every being
from the towering trees
to creatures beyond seeing
and those which ride the breeze

I hope you know how you brighten smiles
as you travel across the world for miles
