Dear Sylvia/ Suicide Note

Sylvia,

Why'd you have to leave me?

Alone with the kids?

I mean, without a goodbye?

Sylvia,

Why'd you have to go and do it?

Lower the door and breathe in?

It couldn't have been that bad, could it?

Sylvia,

Why'd you have to play with me?

Pick up my heart and toss it out?

With a wrinkle of disgust in your forehead?

Sylvia,

Why'd you have to do it that way?

All you did was breathe in?

Surrender yourself to the fumes?

Sylvia,

Why'd you have to leave me?

Alone in the world?

I mean, without a goodbye?

Goodbye.
