Dear Teacher

Grammar galore,

How I love those words.

Her voice soars

Above the class like the birds.

She reads of friendship,

Of teens becoming themselves.

She holds our attention

Unitl ourbooks must be placed back on the shelves.

She is the teacher I wish to be,

Following my completion of a degree.

We wrote a magazine one week,

Partnered by interests,

Sports, crafting, and antiques.

Lifting each of our spirits

Becase we acompshed such a thing.

Her guidance led to innovations,

Her words to which we cling,

To sve some frustrations.

Elegantly she spoke for alo hear,

No teacher of mine has ever been so dear.

Added anxiety from family affairs

Kept me from working as I should.

Dear teacher notices me and asks for me to share.

I think she truly understood.

Never had a loss been so close to my heart

As my Grandapa's did.

She reminded me that although now apart,

He would always be looking out for his grandkid.

And so, I cotinued working towards my goal,

Hoping one day to teach Brit Lit to young souls.
