Dear Time
Dear Time,
Where have you gone?
Where are you taking me?
You slip away like sand
Through the cracks of my fingers.
What are you?
Most say that you
Are a human construct,
That you are not really there.
But if that’s the case, then why do you
control every aspect of our lives?
“No time.”
“See you at three.”
“Next Tuesday.”
“Last Year”
“Six months ago”
You’re in control
I have all the time in the world
Yet none at all
Please don’t go
I need you.
I hate you.
I want more of you,
Yet I wish you’d dwindle away.
