Dear Time

Dear Time,

I hate you.

You destroy everything,

You make everything meaningless,

Decay beauty and kill childhood.

You are a murderer

You are the serial killer with the highest death toll,

You cause all grief

And create endless conflict

And yet...

I admire you.

You create everything also

And are all that gives meaning to anything

You create beauty and children

You create all life,

You are the mother with the most children

You cause all joy

And solve all conflicts

I accept you.

You take and give, and have no intent in doing so.

I accept you.

I not understand you, but I may not have to.

I accept you.

To do otherwise is to just ignore what life is

And doing so whould derive me of the beauty

Of the fleeting experience

That is life.

Sincerely,

Me
