Dear Tuesday

And I don't know how I feel.

And even if I did, I'm not sure I would be able to explain it correctly.

All I know is that this morning, I woke up to your face next to mine.

And years from now, I’ll wake up to my kids crying and a husband that isn't you.

And I won’t miss you; I won’t think about you at all.

Because tonight, I'm going to go to bed, and tomorrow will be Tuesday.

But one night I’ll go to bed,

And the next day will be the day I move,

And the day I get married,

And the day I have first child.

And it’ll be beautiful,

But it'll be lacking you.

And I won’t know it in that moment, but I’ll miss you terribly.

I miss you now and I miss you then.

And I hope one day you wake up to a beautiful wife and happy children.

But more than anything,

I hope you unknowingly miss me too.
