Dear Violater

Dear Violater,

Heartbreaker. Stealer. What gave you the right?

I ask myself to smile, maybe it will erase the prints your hand left on my skin.

I ask myself to laugh, maybe it will answer my question of why you couldn't understand the word no.

I ask myself to concentrate, maybe it will subdue the feelings of worthlessness.

But nothing seems to work.

Did you know what you have done to me?

I don't feel comfortable in my own skin.

I can't wear what once made me feel like myself.

I can't walk into a room without feeling self-conscious

I can't accept a compliment from a well meaning stranger.

I see you.

I see you smiling with all my friends.

I see you flirting with other girls.

I hope you have more respect for them.

Do you care?

Sincerely,  Struggler
