Dear walmart,man

Dear walmart Thank you for finally adding those little signs that tell you how to figure out if a fruit is ripe. For example cantalope is ripe when it has a slight give. For example grapes are ripe when they are firm to the touch. For example strawberries are ripe when fragrant. Dear man Sometimes i wonder if the way you grabbed me was to see if i was ripe. If you thought the way i smelled would tell you anything about how firm a childs body could be. Bananas start to decay faster when resting on the gound, something about signals in the fruit. I grew up thinking bruises meant ripe and so more than once i squeezed one in my hand, to bruise is what i thought ripe meant. Maybe you thought if you squeezed me hard enough i would ripen in your closed fist but we all know that its just exterior brusing and crushing of the unripe insides. It will never properly ripen. Some times the sides will split open and squeeze out between your fingers. Looking back being 12 smells alot like rotting fruit.
