Dear White People

I am tired. We are tired. My brothers and sisters are tired. We are tired of giving u a meal, afraid you might colonize the whole kitchen. And no, i am not attacking all white people but the ones that have made living in South Africa a exercise every single day. I love white people but do u really have to roll your eyes or shake ur head every time the word " slavery" is used. Because News Flash. I was not there. Please do not ask to touch my hair because it is not a petting zoo. Do not ask whether it is real or not. Do not make me feel small by belittling me to a point where i want to dig up a hole in the ground and jump inside to end my life that u see as a 'joke'. I am hurtin, my people are hurting. Why do you hate being called racist more than you hate racism? I just dont understand. Please, please do not greet me differently like other individuals. I hear you talking to Steve and Barry that way. Why dont u greet me the same way. Do you think i'm not civilized enough. I get it now. No wonder why I've never hear of a Dear Black People poem you judge us when we don't know what we're doing wrong. I wanna kick myself because i didnt realize it sooner.
