Dear Window

Dear Window,

I never realized how alike we are.

Transparent and unable to hid what we are feeling.

Fragile and strong at the same time.

The ability to withstand the strongest of storms, but can be broken by the smallest of stones.

Longing to be opened.

Underappreciated.

Draped in curtains to keep out the light.

Wondering who will look through you next.

I never realized how alike we are.

Maybe that's why everytime I try to look through you, I can only see my reflection.
