dear world

dear world,

truth has become an undercurrent from which we take our humanity

as you tumble down, spiraling, lost in the clutches of a scrambling mankind

intelligence tossed away as if a puppet of unimportant reality

the quest for revolution either scoffed at or denied

you drown in the magnitude of the ever expanding universe

while we drown in the follies of our ignorance

for what we have done to you, casting curse after curse

the only way we can solve it now is to understand through perseverance

you are dying slowly, as all manner of worldy issues threaten to escalate

but we, your next leaders, can still spark a change to make your death worth the wait

for you, the light shines bright - a beacon of hope among the stars

and we will overcome our mortality, preserving you as our everlasting memoir

to you, we apologize

for our human nature that has caused you this chaotic destruction

for you, we hope

through our intelligence and curiosity to bring back your natural splendor in compensation

with you, we fall

slowly, into the universe, as the end will one day overcome us all
