Dear You

Dear Auntie,

How do you do today? I am doing well myself.

I recently found the picture book sitting dusty on a shelf.

I flipped it open, looked inside and couldnt help but laugh,

for I saw you trying to kill a spider with a wooden staff.

Those days were so amazing, but somehow you've lost your way.

I'm here for you to hold your hand and guide you so that you will not stray.

I get that life is hard for you. Youre stuck, confused, afraid..

Everyone deals with those feelings,

Like uncle Tom trying to braid.

Just know that you are not alone, you are not impaired.

I wanted to let you personally know that I've always cared.

I can't wait to hear from you, oh the years have passed us by.

Please feel free to call anytime, or stop in and say hi.

-Sincerely, Your loving Niece
