Dear You
Dear You
I still miss you everyday
I miss the soft curl of your eyelashes when you would stare at me with those bright eyes
I miss the grimace you would make whenever you would listen to me speak
Most of all I miss hearing you speak
Every word flowing in a river of passion
Every word so convincing even if what you said wasn’t true
I could listen to you speak
Forever
Dear You
I miss watching you dance to the rhythm of a bounce beat
Your feet gliding ever so smoothly
Everything about you was smooth
Your skin
Your demeanor
I’ve never met a person
So intriguing
Dear You
Are you looking down on us?
Do you see how much we miss you..
Why did you leave?
Did you meet God yet?
I know he loves you
He loved you more than we did
He wanted you around
But I love you so much
I wish you were still around here
With us
With me
Dear You
Your life it was and still is amazing
Thank you for sharing it with me
To know you for just a second is to have known you for a lifetime
You were one of those people
That everyone loved
There is not a second that goes by that you aren’t who I’m thinking of
