Dear you,

Dear, you

Hello, it's me again. Do you remember me? If you don't I bet your hands do.

I know they can still feel my flesh. When I close my eyes I can still feel the

way they slithered around me. Holding me tight not in compassion but like a serpent,

suffocating the light in my eyes till it began to flicker.

Still, don't know who I am? Ask your lips. They will whisper my name to you, unlike

the demands of staying still the shouted at me.

Your pink forked tongue will flicker when it realizes

it traced the canyons of my skin.

I'll be nice and give you a few more hints. I'm the please of mercy you ignored. The salty tears you buried

into the satin of my pillows. I am the dreams you smothered. I am the thing you once were, but what you'll never become.

I am you after your broken wings heeled, your scars faded, and heart lightened.

I am not your victim. I am your survivor.

Sincerely,

   Now you know
