Dear You

Dear You,

The one that left me without self respect

The one that never thought to show me...

To show me that I am not the bad guy here

The one that made me feel ugly

The one that never thought about my feelings

Yes you.

I'm talking to You

The one that controlled me

The one that used me...

Used me until I was used up

The one that made me think I was useless

Well, here's to you.

For making me a toy

For not allowing me to belong to anyone

(Except to You)

I couldn't even live for myself

So, I ask you

Was it really necessary?

Did I really need to be played with

when You were bored?

Did I really need to be thrown away

when You had a dream?

A dream...

That dream that you said brought You up in the world

That dream that made you think You could get caught

Was it really the dream that made it bad?

Or was it wrong from the start?

Because You didn't seem to see my tears

You didn't seem to see my feelings of worthlessness

All You seemed to see

Was that You wanted to play

Sincerely You know who
