Dear you,

do you know what
you are
a thorn
on a bouquet of roses
that i hold
to my nose
and my finger is pricked
and i bleed

i can’t stand the smell
i want to pull you
from my yard
from my heart
but i walk outside
every day
and i hold you
to my nose
and my finger is pricked
and i bleed
