Dear Younger Me...

Dear younger me, how's the passage of time been treating you? Do you ask questions anymore, and listen to lies with a smile? Do you ever dream of flying anymore, in midnight's blue? I know I don't, at least I really haven't, in a long while... I fill the once-dreamy sky with doubts nowadays because my wings have quietly left the scene... So now, I sit around from rainy Junes to restless Mays in the hopes that I'll find myself in Between... And so? I sit alone in my isle of known faces where it is honestly a little cold, if you ask me... don't worry, soon this will be gone too, leaving no traces and I'll be fine again, in a month or maybe three... So? Younger Me? This will be my last letter to you... Because the rest of the journey is yours to find, Maybe alone, maybe with people you never knew, And it'll be easier if you are a lot more brave, and a little less kind... ~ Olive Branch 🕊️
