Dear “Mama”
Dear “Mama”…
Were you not appreciated?
Dear “mama”
Did you ever believe in karma?
You know you always told me “what goes around comes around”
Did you not believe in that truth?
How you and everyone knew my destiny
And took it upon yourself to try and steal my youth?
While lying and trying to manipulate my story
Believing in all your dirty deeds
Realizing to see it didn’t go unpunished
Planting me in filthy soil
Never expecting me to grow
Because you couldn’t
Were you not appreciated?
Using my gifts to deceive me
Playing on my emotional depth
For your own selfish gain
Placing me in your agony
Just to embody your pain
But ironically all that
Dirt and grime
From all your insidious crimes
Were you not appreciated?
Dear “mama”
I’ll probably never speak to you again
But pain and guilt hit different
When you sit with your hidden sins
I walked in your shoes
Fear of rejection
From endless amounts of dusty projections
I never had the time to know nor innerstand my own reflection
Because you wanted to embody my essence
And paint me to be the villain
But I’m the child, the second of 3 children
The one you’re obsessed with
Whom you secretly kept hidden
Were you not appreciated?
The one sent here to help do your healing
Painted me to be “disrespectful” and “rebellious”
When there was sheer negligence
Used my heart and emotional intelligence
For whatever reason
Treachery and treason
Placed upon an infant
Bruising my innocence
This is why I will forever keep my distance
Playing God
To show me where hell is
To cause many disturbances
Were you not appreciated?
God advised to “touch not my anointed and do my Prophets no harm”
You wouldn’t take heed
All because you didn’t receive the “love of your life”
You dared to expose the darkness inside of me
That you decided to hide and keep me from me
Afraid to meet your darkness so you allowed them to take the lead
Filled with gluttony such envy and greed
To place me in your reality of strife
The irony of MY God
Forging me in your fire, your pits of hell
You’d stop at nothing to see me burn and fail
From your preconceived notions and fears
You kept me isolated to dim my light
You waged war on me while I was blind
Made me a secret opponent
When my hands were tied
We both know I fought the good fight
To have my sovereignty and autonomy
I lost my voice and power
my benevolent innerG
Because it was being siphoned and drained
But by the grace of MY God
None of that sick, twisted and insidious shit
Left a stain
Your agony and pain
Helped me to gain
Love, the love you never desired for me to feel
MY love
Agape, Divine love
TRUE LOVE
Self love
The love that helps you to feel then heal…
Dear “mama”
Were you not appreciated?
Thanks for helping me realize I am no product of YOU
I am love, compassion and kindness
You birthed an inspiration
God’s muse
Dear “mama”
It’s my time to spread my wings
Go out into the overworld
To be the light, the illumination
God’s rare hidden gem
In plain sight
I’m forever grateful my soul is bright
Humble beginnings to a prosperous destination
Dear “mama”
Were you not appreciated?
Maybe in another life you’ll heal
You‘ll innerstand the depths to feel
Maybe in another life
You’ll innerstand the depths of being real
Dear “mama”
Were you not appreciated?
From shared insidious generational trauma
Finally, in my life there’s no more of YOUR drama
Welcome me to the good life well deserved , now it’s your turn to meet karma
