Dearest Nature
battered, worn and grayed you are
from caring regularly.
you never complain or cry
and simply present your calmest sea.
i want to thank you for the home
given without a fee.
i am not one to thank or praise
but if there’s one thing I see,
it’s everything I’ve never done that you still do for me.
sincerely,
mankind
