Dearest Old Friend,

Dearest Old Freind,

It's been quite some time hasn't.

Wondering if you still care.

I hold tight  to you,

Afriad to lose you.

When all you wanted to do was fly.

I should have known that you,

Of all would break my fragile heart.

The heart that I no longer own.

I was the rug,

The rug you walked all over.

I would do anything for you...

I fixed you when you were broken,

But you never did the same.

Why do I stay loyal?

You were a heartbreaker,

And I allowed you to breakmy heart,

Even when I would tell myself that wouldn't happen.

I will protect until time is gone,

I will love you until the blue skies turn dark,

I will be here witing for my heart to be broken once more,

If it means being friends with you.

Forever and Always,

Breanna Riggs
