Death

In the darkness wails, “Oh why, Oh, why”
Only light remains at last of breath
Why, oh why do you not offer death?

In the empty streets hidden birds cry
No hope awaits till last of breath
Why, oh why do you not offer death?

The mountains wail away and by
Frailty stays not after final breath
Why, oh why do you not offer death?

And in the end I only long to die
Joy awaits the end of final breath
Why, oh why do you not offer death?
