Death

Everyone is scared of Death, No one wants to die. Your body breathes it's last breath, your eyes devoid of all life. Your blood cold and thick, as your final seconds tick. Skin with an ashen hue, Your life no longer new. As your soul begins to fly, You count the reasons why. The reasons why you died so soon, the reasons everyone had already assumed. They gut you hollow, while in their own pity they wallow. Not long after they lower you casket, they'll all soon forget. Their flowers and tears, they're all just temporary. What did you expect? You're not their burden to carry.
