Death

She crept up on me,
Like a thief in the night,
As quiet as a church mouse she crept.
Slowly but surely honing in,
Into her target,
You,
Then as she came upon you,
You realised who it was and tried to defend yourself,
But she got the upperhand,
Took her hand and gripped your neck,
So tight you couldn't breathe,
Struggling.
Struggling for air,
but she did not relent,
Tightening her grip around your neck,
Bringing you closer to her
.......death.
