Death

I woke up in a puddle of blood sweating

All I hear is “my son is hit” and paramedics screaming

“We can’t save him”

I thought I was dead

I only remember being on a stretcher

thinking about the afterlife and how it”ll be

when im not on earth..

I didn’t feel any bullet enter my body

I was just hoping for another

Chance at life

Praying my soul doesn’t leave my body

I just want to live long enough to smell

the oldest rose rise

Roses turn black after they die..
