Death and all his friends
I've been walkinh in the same way as I did yesterday
picking up grasses in the cracks of ghetto pavements,
my belly is filled with teargasses and the taste of my own blood,,
the deafening cry of the kid next door still rings in my ears-so fresh on my mind,
the inestimable stomping of feet of brave and hard headed citizens
fighting and striving for their voices and weeps to be heard,
they weanted to expose the volumes of curses and hearses brought forth by inequality,
inequity and immorality of the laws of thge ignorant and discriminative white man.
I love it in the morning when the sun almost look like it's dancing or tyhe mysterious frown
but smile of the moon depending on how you look at it...
the air I inhaled especially- so clear and soothing.
I ran away from the truth so long that I believed my essence of breathing on earth
was to run,
but the answers to my inward questions kept chasing after me,
they haunted me awake,
they haunted me asleep,
I found myself screaming in a bath tub caught between deep depression and self destruction,
battling for my justification in a lose-lose battle
and I rattled as I saw my skin mash with the wall,
all the bottled emotions broke free and against me-
they walked towards me- aiming to choke,
they played eith my mind,
they toyed wiyh my emotions,
I smioled at the taps- they just stood there and stared,
I couldn't stop the inward itch,
the tinkling itch of my bones,
the ineluctable urge to pen wide my lungs and laugh,
they played with my mind,
they toyed with my emotions like a remode control...
I felt like an angry bull trapped in a cage surrounded by red,
the rage. the anger. the confusion clouded my mind when all I could think about
was tyo break free and escape the answers and emotions draped around my neck
like a tight necklace- squeezing every trace of breath out of my brnchus...
I found myself floating in a cavity where gravity took a long vacation,
I saw my name. I saw my thoughts. my life story written in graffity before my very own eyes.
I crashed and burned into an infinite pit of the fallen...
I carry my heart on my sleeves but somehow I woke up with no arms,
I woke up next to my fore-fathers and mothers.
