Death Comes At A Cost

To live is to hurt; to cry and feel pain.

To die is to fade; to know and feel nothing.

  To die is an escape.

My thoughts were only these. Nothing more. Only of death and "freedom".

  My heart asked one question:

  Why live?

Why live when all I feel is pain? Why try? Why care?

  Why live?

When all I make is mistakes and all I do is fail?

  Why live?

But then I knew my answer.

Why live? Because who would be there to love my pets? Who would be there to make sure nothing ever happened to them?

Who would be there to care for them?

Why live? Because I am here to help those who can't help themselves.

What would my life be if I could not help others? If I wasn't kind?

Death seemed like the only escape, the only way to end my pain.

But the moment I considered that ending my life would hurt others, I knew I couldn't do it.

After all, Death Comes At A Cost.
