Death of a Flower

Location

I am alive:

My color radiant as blood

Electricity coursing throughout

I hold my head towards the sun

As I accept the blessing of rain

...

I am withered

Thirsty for what I cannot have

I look towards the earth

No reason to hold my head up

I accept the rain no longer

I am Dead.
