Death has become you

You came across my mind today,

The air was cold,

The classroom fell silent,

And

Your smile, laugh, and warmth, fell to a grey cold memory.

It was like you died and I was cherishing those happy moments of you…

Then,

I realized you had not died but I did

Or the way I saw you died

The way I loved you died

The way your eyes would entrance me no longer held me hostage

The pain of my heart ache for you still lingeres

It comes in waves… just like the realization of someone's death comes in waves.
