Death or Peace?

I spend my nights staring at the clock

Waiting for the tick that makes my heart stop

My memories of you are forever lost

Slowly drifting beneath the bedrock

Never resurfacing to the top

I spend my nights staring at the clock

The sadness in my heart the clock does mock

And the tears in my eyes fall like raindrops

My memories of you are forever lost

Running through my veins like hemlock

When it reaches my heart you will hear a pop

I spend my nights staring at the clock

My muscles freeze and limbs lock

Every tick makes my heart rate drop

My memories of you are forever lost

I stare at the clock tick-tock tick-tock

Watching until it finally stops

I spend my nights staring at the clock

My memories of you are forever lost
