Death, Please Save Me
The incessant tirade of pernicious words
Emanating from an abomination
That was once considered to be a man
Echoing through my head
Never daring to escape my mind.
Cowering in the corner of the infinitesimal closet
Which feels instead like a claustrophobic prison cell.
No place holds any comfort
No place is safe.
Wherever I may go,
I know somehow he will find me
Recreating the horrors all over again.
His vicious touch as he grabs my arm
And screams his harsh opinions
For everything that I have done
Or have not.
Because all the blame is to be put on me.
Every second that passes
Slowly plunges me into an abyss
Of which I cannot escape
As his hand raises up in the air
Forming a powerful, inescapable fist,
There is nowhere I can go.
I cannot run anymore,
I am stuck, trapped here,
Under the will of his wrath.
Will this never end?
May I never escape?
Death seems like a better escape than this now.
