Death's End Myth is All a Lie
Me in the ground
And your head in the sky
Please don’t let your eyes drown
But think of me while you fly
People claim death is the end
I have found this not to be true
I hope to see you again my friend
But enjoy seeing the color blue
There is this thing between us
Causing a death divide
Which makes me want to cuss
And you lose carbon dioxide
We have always feared the “C” word,
But unfortunately, you witnessed me bear it
Although the “C” on me was gird
You ceased my pain with lively spirit
When time was nearing an end
My conscious was on a shore
You tried to reach for my hand
But my mouth stopped its snore
I was pulled toward the ocean
Your water I could not feel
Eventually I saw no sun
To you it must’ve felt surreal
My ears were plugged
From the high-pitched line
Though my death is not to be shrugged
Promise me you’ll continue to shine
Continue to do your cartwheels
And drink wine until your heart’s content
Rapidly drive the orange automobiles
And swing hard so the baseball breaks cement
Overtime I know you’ll heal
Laugh out loud at our goofy memories
Focus showing your girls much zeal
Even if it means eating her burnt cookies
Children will be your biggest blessing
Stay with them through thick and thin
Through sunsets you all shall be biking
With every person’s teeth forming a grin
In the end, death does not stop our human body’s spirit
This is a pathetic lore created by non-believers
Though it physically separates me from your current planet
Our joyful souls will forever be side-by-side through earthly sunflowers
I am happy in the blissful place I am
Though I miss you, your mom and siblings very dearly
From here I wish I could send you a telegram
But know that here I feel safe and heavenly
So no, death is not the end of our relationship
Though it feels like the myth of death deems that true
The flat green line on the screen’s unending beep
Will never be a barrier as forever it is you I value
