Deaths Sweet Lips

To my dearest love,

I know time has drawn us apart

But my love is never ending

And always longing.

I can not pull my heart,

To find another.

You are my one,

You will always be with me

And always filling my heart.

Even though we may never see

One another again.

But when i die,

If we are not together yet

I will die with your name

On my lips.

So my dear love

I will always wait,

And from now until then

I will always say

I love you forever and always.

I wrote this in high school while I was doing a poetry project for Valentines Day. Instead of writing some sappy love poem I wrote one that shows the struggles of love when it is apart and what true love is like. I didn’t want to write another goofy love poem I wanted it to mean something.
