Deathwish for a Chip

Hello, potato chip so salty and crunchy,

4th time I've written to you, it's almost monthly!

I wish you were still here, with your wonderful taste,

my words today are short, so I write to you with haste.

I'm getting older now, not so sure we can be together.

This bag 'o' bones can't eat no more, I'm light as a feather.

My teeth and hair are gone, I'm very sad to say.

To taste your deliciousness once more is all that I pray.

On this day many years from now is when we meet (yes we must),

before I, as a frail old man, must crumble into dust.

Our times together were great and triumphant I must say,

but if you are reading this, I'm warning you. It's probably much too late.

By now I'm afraid my hunger is probably after you,

stay deepest inside of your bag underneath a friend or two.

If your the only one left and you start to see the light,

I recommend you move to a corner, doesn't matter, left or right.

As I bring you to my mouth, we are both near to death,

but at least we're together, as we both breathe our last breath.

I guess that's all for now friend. I admit it's been real.

Until next time,

Kevin Gabriel
