The Deceiver

These benign times Singed not with horror and suffering Built for hardship by nature But none to endure The only hardship From inside procured - We strive for purpose For greater meaning Why then, is the glimmering light Tentatively unsteadying? The end of the tunnel A pinhole in the sky The blanket dark Never a spark - In the light Bright But the light only reaches the surface And leaves the inside in night - Keep with it the physical slave Keep with it to your grave Wake in the morning wave Wake in your living cave Wake without reason Wake with your feet off the ground Keep disregarding the sound Keep falling until you reach the crowned - You shall reap what you sow If it is nothing It shall be so Not a drop from your eyes Can visit the ground Fall up not up Drifts through you unquenching thirst Thrown through the ashes Cold fire Oh why must you be so? - This banner, take it Hallowed; it's name forgotten Purpose like yours unknown Protection known through the eras Seeps through your veins Newfound vigour Watch the steps One slip and you become yourself - Through the memories You slide and slide Never reside upon the cold Dead grounds below you - And he said it shall be so Cease! Don't go I am not finished with you yet But the deceiver peels from his debt Eat! Eat! Don't go I have much to give But to accept you shall cease to live No! No! Don't go Eternity falls. Cease! Embrace your final fall From heaven to hell - The bell chimes As the end times Advance through the bleary dusk All but a husk Of what had been and what had done Below the unending sun. Quick; Out comes the moon Celestial body to bring all To its glory- End times. Sin, the bell chimes.
