December
the days roll by
in steady parade
with a half heard sigh
and a soft tirade
they have no meaning
nor any worth
the days careening
across the earth
my time stopped
a December day
life was dropped
and swept away
December eighth
and all was gone
it shook my faith
now do I go on?
no day comes near
that I remember
without a tear
each December
